Marketing Manager-Local

Summary:

The Marketing Manager-Local is responsible for the creation and execution of WOW!'s local residential and business marketing plans and initiatives to drive improved brand health, lead generation, revenue, and subscriber connects while managing a $1,000,000 budget. This position builds and cultivates collaborative relationships with internal and external partners to drive strategic joint business planning initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below.

  • Develops and executes local marketing plans and programs to fulfill specific business needs, including development of strategic objectives, creative operations, communications strategy, and tracking and reporting

  • Acts as strategic marketing partner to local Residential and Business Sales leadership teams

  • Develops and executes on all local market payment center branding and collateral materials for technicians, door-to-door (D2D), and business teams

  • Manages and is accountable for metrics and budget for local brand marketing function

  • Identifies, coordinates and executes strategic market specific initiatives including, but not limited to partnerships, community needs, sponsorships and events

  • Partners with media director to leverage appropriate media

  • Provide in-market competitive offer insight to assist in the development of pricing strategies

  • Evaluates all markets from an individualized local perspective through customer contact, monitoring of competition, industry trends, market insights, and employee engagement and notifies marketing team of needed strategic changes

  • Establishes standardized tracking and reporting and communicates daily, weekly and monthly on marketing information to include, but not limited to: program updates, customer leads reports, results scorecard and monthly marketing campaign performance

  • Manages on-going compliance with assigned expense budgets and adheres to the invoicing and accrual guidelines

  • Coordinates production of all required marketing and consumer materials while ensuring consistency with company strategy and branding

  • Ensures proper usage and execution of brand standards and assets

  • Provides direction to field employees in relation to supporting local events and sponsorship opportunities

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education:

Four year college degree in Marketing or a related field.

Experience/Skills Needed:

  • Minimum of five to eight years marketing experience or equivalent combination of experience and training is required.

  • 3 years or more experience working with business leaders to develop and execute local marketing campaigns.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization skills and excellent follow through.

  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, and proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while providing excellent follow-through.

  • Strategic thinker who can articulate objectives, develop creative and manage projects to meet those objectives.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to write/edit a variety of marketing communication pieces.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork are essential.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with strong customer service skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external audiences

  • Ability to develop and communicate marketing presentations to executives.

  • Previous Cable TV/Internet/telecom industry experience preferred.

  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to communicate and work proactively with internal customers to identify marketing needs, recommend solutions and provide marketing counsel as needed to ensure the most positive business outcome.

Computer Skills:

  • Word processing, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet software, email, database software

  • Graphic design software experience is a plus but not required
